You will now not be able to download more than 1TB data on a PTCL connection under 20 MB

PTCL has updated Fair Usage Policy (FUP) for connections under 20 MB

Pakistan Telecommunication Company Limited (PTCL) has just updated its Fair Usage Policy (FUP) for all data connections above and under 20 MBPS.

Fair Usage Policy restricts a user from using a set amount of data. In simple words, you will not be able to download more than 1TB of data on your connection.

In case you do exceed this limit, you will have to pay additional charges for every extra GB you download. PTCL has priced 100 GBs at RS. 200 but this amount cannot exceed more than RS. 3,000. If it does exceed, you will be able to use the unlimited internet.

Previously, PTCL had allowed users to download unlimited data. But now the company has set a limit of 2TB for connections above 20 MB and 1TB for connections under 20 MB.

Here is the new Fair Usage Policy of the company.

Connections Below 20 MB

  • Monthly Downloads – 1 TB (1,000 GB)
  • Additional GBs – 100 GBs for Rs. 200
  • Maximum Additional charges – RS. 3,000

Connections Above 20 MB

  • Monthly Downloads – 2TB (2,000 GBs)
  • Additional GBs – 100 GBs for Rs. 200
  • Maximum Additional charges – Rs. 5,000

What do you think of the new Fair Usage Policy of PTCL? Have you ever exceeded 1TB of data in a month?
