With the winter over and spring coming in, Karachi is already experiencing warm temperatures reaching 25 degrees. In accordance with the new season, the Sindh Police has decided to introduce new uniforms for the police force.
It has just been learned that the Sindh Government has approved the request of Dr. Kaleem, IGP Sindh to introduce new uniforms for police officers across the region.
According to IGP Sindh, the primary reason behind the introduction of new uniforms is to enhance the policing process and bring it to international standards. He believes that it will have a fruitful result in exhibiting the perception of improved policing amongst citizens. He also hoped that the citizens would welcome this move.
DIGP operations Sindh, Maqsood Ahmed addressed a gathering where the uniforms were being displayed for the first time. He said that the new uniforms are designed with international standards and keeping the local weather in mind. These uniforms are made with better quality which will also provide enhanced comfort to the officers.
According to Sindh Police, the new uniforms will first be limited to five units of Sindh Police only. These units include Traffic Police, Anti-riots reserve platoons, CIA, Forensic Division Sindh, and Central Police office.
The uniforms for central police include white shirt, navy blue pant, and navy blue p-cap, similarly, half-sleeve white t-shirt, navy blue pant, and navy blue p-cap are for traffic police.
For constables, the uniform will include dark blue half-sleeve shirt, navy blue pant, and navy blue p-cap.
