Pakistan Super League season 4 sets new live streaming record – reaches 10 million views in just 5 matches

Pakistan Super League is gradually becoming one of the most viewed cricketing tournaments of the world. According to, the league has set a new streaming record with views reaching 10 million+ in just 5 matches.

So far, the highest live-streamed match of PSL has been between Karachi Kings Vs. Lahore Qalandars with views grossing 1.48 million, peaking over 200,000 concurrent viewers on YouTube alone.

So far the biggest concern of the league is that there are not enough spectators in stadiums to watch the matches. Since the league takes place outside of its home country, this should be expected. But with views reaching so high, it shows that PSL is only becoming more popular amongst cricket enthusiast.

With more views mean more sponsorships and advertisement and more revenue for stakeholders in the league. Apparently, last year there were more than 20 brands involved in running ads during the league. This year that number has grown with five new brands running ads during the league and providing sponsorships.

On the other hand, the tickets for the eliminator and final matches that are supposed to take place in Pakistan have their tickets almost run out. PCB is expecting a full house in all of the 8 matches that are supposed to be held in Pakistan and that target is not far away from the data acquired from latest ticket sales.
