One of the biggest if not the major issue of Pakistan is garbage. Literally, every city in the country has a problem handling garbage. There are makeshift garbage sites in almost all the cities of Pakistan where people throw everything they consider waste.
These garbage sites have become such a norm that now they have become a part of every major city. Authorities of cities are unable to control garbage and often leave this garbage lying in makeshift sites by citizens. This not only leads to sickness and spread of disease in the said cities, but also affects the overall beauty of the city.
In a recent survey conducted by Gallup & Gilani Pakistan, common citizens were asked which city of Pakistan they thought was the dirtiest and which they thought was the cleanest. Here are the results.
According to the survey, 25% said Karachi, 11% said Lahore, 7% said Peshawar, 5% said Faisalabad, 4% said Shikarpur, 3% each said Quetta, Sukkur, Multan and Sahiwal, 24% referred to numerous other cities of the country, 4% said none, while 8% did not respond.
When asked which city was the cleanest, 51% said Islamabad. For full survey, click here.
