It has been raining in the capital for more than 48 hours now, on and off. Same rain spell has shrouded many areas of Pakistan including Malakand, Hazara Mardan, Kohat, Rawalpindi, Gujranwala, Lahore divisions, Islamabad, Kashmir, and Gilgit-Baltistan, while at scattered places in Peshawar, Sargodha and Faisalabad divisions.
A westerly wave that entered Pakistan at around Saturday has most of the upper and central parts of the country covered. Most places are witnessing non-stop rain with further north experiencing snowfall.
Non-stop snowfall was recorded beyond Muree last night and it has caused a lot of problems for the people living and traveling to Murree, Natia Gali and beyond.
Nearly all traffic has also been stopped while the authorities try to rescue people stuck in the snowfall. At times like these, it is hard for anyone to perform their duty but KPK and Islamabad police are setting an example.
Officers from both the police forces were seen performing their duty day and night even in this cold and harsh weather with non-stop rain and snowfall.
These brave and hardworking men are not only performing their duties but are also helping people in need.
