Last week Pakistan experienced westerly waves that brought with them the chilly weather as well as rain and snow in the country. There was an unusual amount of snowfall this year in Pakistan. Even Lahore witnessed an unusual hailstorm that turned the entire city white.
If you were thinking the rain and snow had come to an end, the Pakistan Meteorological Department has news for you. According to the Met department, another westerly wave is set to hit the country later this week.
This wave will bring with it more rain and snow, especially in the upper regions of the country till Thursday. Here is what you can expect:
Rain and thunderstorm are expected in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, upper Punjab, Islamabad, Gilgit Baltistan, and Kashmir.
Snowfall is expected over the hills including Swat, Chitral, Malamjabba, and Upper Dir.
Muree is also expected to witness another round of snowfall but it won’t be as bad as it was last weekend. Rain is also expected in Karachi and Balochistan region.
If you haven’t seen snow yet, now would be the perfect time to pack your bags and go for a road trip to the hills.
