Jahangir Tareen’s son is about to get his hands on PSL’s sixth team

The sixth team, formerly ‘Multan Sultans’ is up for grabs

The fourth edition of PSL is still months away but the excitement for the league has already started. Last week the draft for season four took place and it was full of surprises.

For example, Misbah-Ul-Haq joined Peshawar Zalmi, ditching his two-time champions team Islamabad United. Similarly, Shahid Afridi left Karachi Kings and joined the sixth team.

Speaking of the sixth PSL franchise, formerly known as ‘Multan Sultans’ is up for grabs since its previous owners did not pay their outstanding dues to the league.

The team was stripped of its owners and is currently owned and maintained by PCB. But the team was on sale from the very start and PCB said that it was looking for a buyer.

Now it has come to pass that PTI’s leader Jahangir Khan Tareen’s son Ali Khan Tareen is likely going to buy the sixth team. The announcement came directly from the man who said he was very interested in buying the team and has already met multiple officials at PCB to seal the deal.

However, the ownership of the team will be decided after a tender is released in the first week of December.

The sixth team will likely be renamed and rebranded for the fourth edition of PSL.
