Confirmed – Misbah-Ul-Haq quits PSL season 4

Former Pakistan captain and star player of Islamabad United has decided to skip Pakistan Super League season 4 as a player. According to sources, Haq has decided to take off from the premier T20 competition but is in talks with ISLU United to appear as team management member.

The announcement was officially made by Islamabad United’s owner who confirmed Misbah-Ul-Haq will not be a part of the team as a player. Instead, the management is trying to secure a role for the star player in the team management. Talks are underway.

Misbah represented ISLU United for 26 matches in the first three editions of the league. He has helped the team win two titles by scoring 381 runs at an average of 25.40.

It will now be interesting to see who will lead the two-time champions Islamabad United in the fourth season. In absence of Misbah-Ul-Haq previously, the team was led by JP Duminy of South Africa, but even he has announced that he will not be part of the fourth edition of the league.
