Pakistan is commemorating the 53rd Defence Day today in order to pay tribute to the martyrs of the 1965 indo-pak war. This is one of the most important days in the history of the country as, on 6th September, Indian forces launched a surprise attack on Pakistan.
Pakistan successfully defended the cowardly attack by its neighboring country but the victory wasn’t achieved without sacrifices from the Pakistani side.
Just like on any other 6th September, the day started with a thirty-one gun salute in the capital city of Pakistan with twenty-one gun salutes inside the provincial capitals of the country. Special prayers were also offered and the entire nation paid tribute to the brave martyrs of this country.
One of the best and the cutest tribute paid to these brave countrymen was by children of Islamabad’s private school who had gathered inside the Giga Mall.
The children wore khaki dresses and had words of praise for the armed forces. They also sang in front of the crowd and won the hearts of everyone who was present at the mall to witness these adorable children.
