Mickey Arthur blames ‘low confidence’ of players reason of defeat against India

By now we all know how easily India beat Pakistan last night in the second match against their arch-rivals. This is something Pakistanis have not taken lightly and there is a lot of blame on the captaincy of Sarfraz Ahmed and sloppy fielding of the players.

In a press conference with the head coach of Pakitan, Mickey Arthur, several hard questions were thrown at him regarding the various problems in the performance of the players.

For every question concerning the performance of the players, Mickey blamed the ‘low confidence’ levels of players. He assured that all the young Pakistani players are brilliant and they work really hard every day on their fitness and performance.

But with India, their confidence levels drop which is why their performance gets affected. When asked about Fakhar Zaman, Mickey once again said his performance was affected due to low confidence.

When it came to the captaincy of Sarfraz Ahmed, Mickey showed immense confidence and said that Sarfraz is the only captain he has worked with who is brilliant both on-field and off-field. He is fully confident in his captaincy.

The coach said the team will be closely reviewing last night match and will make necessary amendments for the upcoming matches.

Pakistan faces Bangladesh next. If the team wins the match, they will once again meet India in the finals for the third time in this years Asia Cup.
