Pakwheels.com has confirmed that Toyota is about to launch its mini-SUV the Toyota Rush in Pakistan in the next few months.
The Rush is a 1500cc mini-SUV that was previously also released in Pakistan in 2010 with the name Daihatsu Terios but was later discontinued. Now the company plans to sell completely built (CBU) units in the country.
The mini-SUV was first released in Japan in 1997 after which it became quite popular in several of the developing markets in Asia, South America, Africa and Eastern Europe.
In most of the markets outside of Japan, the vehicle is known by the name Daihatsu Bego, or Perodua Nautica. The newest model of the 7 seater mini-SUV came with features that imitated the Fortuner but with a more compact footprint.
At the moment, there is no confirmation if Toyota will make trim options available in Pakistan but the vehicle will be targetted towards the urban audience.
Expected price of Toyota Rush
The Toyota Rush will be a direct competitor of Honda Vezel and Suzuki Vitara in Pakistan. The price of these vehicles is usually around Rs. 3.5 million and 4.2 million. So it is expected that the Rush will also be in the same price range.
