Pakistani gamer Sumail’s team wins Dota Summit 9 to make way for the biggest Dota competition this month

The International 8 will take place next month with a prize pool of $20 million

The 19-year-old Syed Sumail Hassan’s team ‘Evil Geniuses’ just won the Dota Summit 9 competition with a prize pool of $10,000.

The team is now readying itself for the biggest DOTA 2 competition this month which will have a prize pool of $20 million or more.

Dota Summit 9 is a fan favorite tournament that happens before the ‘International 8’ which is the biggest DOTA 2 competition in the world and it is hosted by the creators of the game ‘Valve’.

Sumail is the only Pakistani gamer who managed to bag in $1.3 million in ‘The International’ in 2015. He was only 16 years old when he earned this feat.

Now the youngster is eyeing for another victory in the International which could help him win more than his previous victory.

The International 2018 will start on the 20th of August and will last till 25th August.

Syed Sumail Hassan is a Pakistani professional player. He is currently playing for ‘Evil Geniuses’ a team from the USA. He holds the record of being the youngest player to win the International.

Sumail was born in Karachi in 1999. He started to play Defense of the Ancients 2 (DOTA 2) when he was just 7 years old. Sumail and his family moved to Chicago, United States so Sumail could live his dream of becoming a professional gamer.
