Video games are increasingly becoming popular in Pakistan. Games like League of Legends (LOL), Defense of the Ancients (DOTA), Counterstrike: Global Offensive (CS: GO), Call of Duty (COD), Medal of Honor, and more are being played competitively on a daily basis in different parts of the country.

With more and more video game teams emerging from various cities of Pakistan, the local e-sports scene is getting bigger and better.

Pakistan just witnessed the biggest e-sports event ‘Gamebird Lan Clan 2018’ which feels no less from international e-sports events held at a domestic level.

Gamebird Lan Clan 2018 e-sports event featured hundreds of players from across Lahore, Karachi, and Islamabad. The qualifying rounds were held in the respective cities of the teams while only a few made it to the grand finale of the tournament.

The grand finale of the e-sports event took place in Nishat Hotel, Lahore where qualifying teams from across the three countries were offered a place to stay with a grand dinner given to the players after the event.

The event featured two games, DOTA 2 and CSGO. The grand finale attracted a huge crowd of eager gamers who came to root for their favorite team. The environment was completely out of the world during the final of the tournament.

The winning teams were offered a cash prize of RS.150k each with runners-up receiving RS.75k and 25K each.
