Following other car manufacturers in the country, Suzuki is set to raise prices of all its cars by PKR 20,000 to PKR 30,000. The new prices will be introduced starting today.
According to PAK Suzuki, the prices are being raised because of the weakening of Pakistani rupee. This is the third time the car manufacturer will be raising prices since January.
Although Suzuki hasn’t officially announced which variants will see a price increase, most dealers are saying that the price hike will be introduced on nearly all Suzuki vehicle variants.
According to financial experts, the sales of cars from Suzuki, Honda, and Toyota will remain unchanged because most of the cars in Pakistan are sold via leasing and the car companies are selling 100% of what they are making and will continue to do so.
However, it will be interesting to see how the three bigs will manage to fight back competition from other car manufacturers expected to launch their operations in 2019.
Several car manufacturers including Nissan, Renault, Hyundai, and United have already confirmed that they are ready to enter the automobile market of Pakistan.
