After successfully launching their vehicle Grand Carnival, KIA is set to introduce the RIO 2018 in Pakistan next month. The automotive company just opened its second dealership in Lahore where it is currently displaying the RIO.
The interesting thing about RIO is that it has caused car enthusiasts in Pakistan to speculate the price which is being estimated at 1.4 million rupees for a 1.0L variant of the car.
The car at the display, however, is the 1.4L variant which is assembled in Korea and has more features than the standard Toyota Corolla and Honda City.
If launched at the expected RS. 1,400,000 launch price, then it is sure to shake things up in the Pakistani automotive industry due to better features than any car available in the country.
It will be directly competing with Suzuki’s Swist and the newly revamped Cultus. However, enthusiasts are also fearing that once the car starts being assembled in Pakistan, the current features in the car will be stripped down to a minimum like any other car in the country vs. their variants outside of Pakistan.
The Kia Rio 2018 features an updated design which gives it a sporty look as well as a larger exterior which makes it look more like a sedan than a compact car.
