China Southern Airlines starts operations in Pakistan

One of the biggest airlines of Asia, China Southern Airlines (CSA) has started its operations in Pakistan. The first flight took to the skies from Lahore to Urumqi.

The airlines hope that with the launch of the airlines in Pakistan, new opportunities between China and Pakistan will open up, especially in light of China Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC).

With CSA now operating in Pakistan, it will significantly help in increasing contact and cultural exchanges between the two countries consequently bringing in new opportunities for Pakistani businessmen.

More About China Southern Airlines

China Southern Airlines currently operates in 40 countries with over 224 destinations served and 2,000 daily operational flights.

CSA is the biggest Asian airline having 660 planes under its fleet and it is the only airline in the world that has both Airbus A380 and Boeing 787 in its fleet.

The airlines specifically chose Lahore and Urumqi as first destinations because Urumqi holds great economic value and is the west gateway of China to the rest of the world.

Since Urumqi is the third largest international transfer hub in the world, direct flights from Lahore will be highly beneficial for many businessmen and travelers from Pakistan.
