Bahria University is once again trying to distance Male students from Female students

The university has banned mixed gatherings in cafeterias

After the controversial six-inch-gap notification by Bahria University which required male and female students to maintain at least 6-inch distance from each other, the university is once again trying to keep the opposite sexes away from each other.

A new notification issued on June 25 surfaced on social media today which read the following;

It has been directed by the competent Authority that all female students are to avail Dean’s Cafeteria situated in Quaid Block and all other food outlets are out of bound for them. Similarly, all male students are to avail Capital Café, Student Café and Daily Grind and Dean’s Café is out of bound for them.

According to the notice, female students have been strictly told to only use one cafeteria located in Quaid Block whilst banning them from using any other food outlets in the university.

Similarly, the notice has asked the male students to use the rest of the cafe’s but are strictly banned from using the Dean’s cafe which will only be open to females.

It is surprising to see the university once again try to separate the opposite sexes in such a manner even after it was demanded to withdraw the six-inch rule by The Federation of All Pakistan Universities Academic Staff Association last month.
