This 71-year old mother is traveling the northern areas with her son on a bike

Qadeer Gillani mother’s dream was to travel the northern areas of Pakistan and now she’s living it

You may have often seen youngsters visiting the entire northern areas of Pakistan on their motorcycles, but Qadeer Gillani and his mother are setting a new trend by being the first elderly woman and son on a motorcycle tour to Northern Pakistan.

Gillani and his mother started their tour in May, just after Ramadan began and will keep touring the northern areas until after Eid-ul-Fitr.

It was always a dream for Gillani’s mother to travel the northern areas and thanks to her son, she is now living it.

What makes this ride so interesting and inspiring is that Gillani’s mother is 71-year old. Traveling the northern areas is a strenuous journey on its own even traveling on a car let alone on a motorcycle.

With this tour, Gillani’s mother is proving to the world that age doesn’t matter when you set out to fulfill your dreams. She is a brave woman who is setting an example by traveling in areas that are some of the toughest to travel for the elderly on a motorcycle.

Gillani chose to take his mother on a bike because it was one of the most affordable ways to travel the northern areas. The duo also chose Ramadan specifically for their tour because it is much cheaper to travel and stay during Ramadan time in the Northern Areas.
