Lahore and Islamabad traffic police starts sending traffic violation challans to home

Traffic violators beware! Islamabad Traffic Police and City Traffic Police Lahore have just started rolling out e-challan tickets which are sent to your home if you are caught breaking a traffic law on camera.

Using the safe city project cameras installed in the city, traffic police of both cities are now sending in e-tickets to traffic violators in their home.

This modern system of traffic violation fine is used around the world in powerful countries and has now come to Pakistan thanks to the safe city projects in Lahore and Islamabad.

By breaking any law on the road such as crossing red signals, if your car is caught on camera, you will be sent a ticket to your home address.

The camera catches your number plate and then sends the challan to the person who the car is registered to with their complete car details and CNIC numbers.

You are immediately advised to pay the challan fee at your nearest bank. Failing to pay the fine would result in your vehicle token or plate not being renewed until the fine is paid.

The challan can also be paid using Islamabad Traffic Police’s digital payment gateway on your smartphone.
