Islamabad open doors to the most ‘detailed’ desi themed restaurant of Pakistan

The concept of themed restaurants if picking traction in Pakistan as more and more restaurants are working hard to adopt a theme for their restaurant to provide food lovers with a complete experience.

The latest in these themed restaurants is ‘Chak 51’ which is a 15,000 square feet desi themed restaurant in Bahria Town Islamabad.

The huge restaurant has a seating capacity of 350+ people with multiple outdoor, semi-outdoor and indoor seating options each with their own mini desi theme.

Chak 51 is a brainchild of Sharoon Younas who is also behind Kallisto themed restaurant in Bahria Town Islamabad. Chak 51 boasts a very intimate desi design giving a look of a small ‘kachi abadi’ when looked from bird’s eye view.

Inside the restaurant, the multiple outdoor, indoor and semi-outdoor options are adorned with colorful windows, clay pot lights, dholki chandeliers, colorful kites on the ceiling, images of old Bollywood and Lollywood classics on pasted on ‘Thakthi’ boards, partitions made with hundreds of colorful glass bangles and more.

The restaurant also boasts bramdas with custom truck themed benches, faux train engine coming out of a tunnel, a platform station deck, truck art themed doors, a special 30 by 30 feet ludo board, and 2 life-size replicas of Bedford trucks that double as buffet counters.
