Islamabad got together to welcome PSL champions in style

Nearly two weeks have passed since Pakistan Super League came to a strong end with Islamabad United emerging victorious after a hard fought battle with Peshawar Zalmi.

This is the second victory for the team in the three years of PSL. Since the final match of the league took place in Karachi, Islamabad had no way to celebrate the victory alongside their favorite players.

However, everything changed when Islamabad United announced a one of a kind parade to be held in the capital city to welcome the champions home and celebrate the victory together.

Despite bad weather, Islamabad went out on the roads, joined the parade and welcomed the champions home in style.

The victory parade began at around 4:00 PM at D-Chowk Islamabad. Despite heavy rains in the morning and afternoon, Islamabadis still turned out in huge numbers to celebrate their victory.

The parade went from D-Chowk to Fatima Jinnah Park and concluded at the entrance of the park. The team was then taken to the convention center to join in a qawali night where the legendary Abadi Parveen was performing.

Today the team went to celebrate the victory in NUST and gather at the Pakistan Monument to take victory shots.
