Islamabad is often credited as one of the most beautiful cities in the world. It is also one of the few cities of Pakistan that are still considered to be environmentally clean and friendly.
The public and law enforcement agencies in Islamabad have worked hard to ensure that the city remains free of as much pollution as possible. Unlike other cities in the country, Islamabad has strict rules against vehicles that produce smoke.
To further promote a better environment, citizens including children, men, women and the elderly held a bicycle rally which was aimed at spreading awareness of bicycles as a mode of transport for a better environment.
The bicycle rally was held over the weekend at the famous Kachnar Park of Islamabad which is in I-8 and is considered to be one of the most environmentally friendly and beautiful parks of the city.
After the rally was completed, participants pledged that they would use bicycles as a mode of traveling whenever it is possible in order to eliminate excessive use of vehicles that produce emissions and hurt our environment.
Bicycles are also good for heart health which means riding a one not only contributes to the environment of the city but also helps one stay healthy.
