In a bid to make the organization profitable again, Pakistan Post has just introduced same-day delivery service in Rawalpindi and Islamabad.
With e-commerce industry booming in Pakistan, the organization has high hopes that this will become a groundbreaking service. The same day delivery service has been started in the twin-cities with a coverage of 24 specially selected areas.
Under this newly inaugurated service, people or e-commerce business owners will be able to dispatch and receive packages up to 20 KG in the shortest time possible on the same day of the booking.
For the service, Pakistan Post is charging RS. 150 per 500 grams weight package with an additional charge of RS. 50 on every 500 grams added weight to the parcel.
Consignment sender and receiver will both be able to track their shipment via SMS where the organization will send a message as soon as the package has been dispatched or received by the receiver.
Availability of ‘Same day delivery service’
Pakistan Post’s same-day delivery service is currently only available in the twin-cities with 24 specially picked areas. These areas are as follows:
- F-6 Markaz
- F-8 Markaz
- G-7 Markaz
- G-8 Markaz
- I-9 Markaz
- Lal Kurti
- Bahria Town phase 8 & 4
- Commercial Market Centre, Satellite Town
- Post office situated at Prime Minister office
- Islamabad GPO
- F-7 Post Mall
- F-10 Markaz
- G-5 Foreign Service
- G-9 Markaz
- Rawalpindi GPO
- Katcheri Chowk
- Urdu Bazar
Pakistan Post will extend the service to other cities if there is a good response.
