Tired of being banned from TV, Amir Liaquat starts a website

The Islamabad High Court (IHC) banned popular television host and anchor Amir Liaquat Hussain from making television appearances till further notice on the 13th of December, 2017.

The IHC’s decision came after it heard a petition filed by Muhammad Abbas, a citizen of Pakistan who was seeking a complete ban on the scholar from appearing on television, print media and social media.

Ever since then, Amir Liaquat has not appeared on television as advised by the court. According to Mr. Liaquat, he has already petitioned against the decision and is now waiting for the court to clear him for a television appearance.


But before any decision is made, he decided to start his own website. Amir Liaquat has now his own website alhnews.com where he publishes material in Urdu.

He is also maintaining social media pages for the said website along with a YouTube channel where he hosts discussions on current affairs.

The Urdu language website offer columns, headlines, Pakistan news, International news, business news, sports, health, technology and more.

Amir Liaquat has also shared various videos on the website’s official YouTube channel which are basically his clips from previous television appearances in various shows.
