Players will roam the real world while defending locations and looking for powerups

Fans of the wizarding world of Harry Potter, you are about to get a series of new digital products based on J.K Rowling’s iconic Harry Potter series.

Niantic, the makers of the insanely popular mobile game Pokemon Go which broke pretty much every record in 2016 is now making a similar game based on the Harry Potter Universe.

The new game titled ‘Harry Potter: Wizards Unite’ will have the players roaming in the real world collecting power-ups, exploring environments and defending locations, much like the 2016 hit game Pokemon Go.

Additionally, the publisher Warner Bros. has also announced another game based on the Harry Potter universe in the works for mobile phones. This game titled ‘Harry Potter: Hogwarts Mystery’ will be a Role Playing Game which will allow the players to create their very own unique character.

Players will then be able to experience life as a Hogwarts student progressing through the school in years. Along the way, players will be able to interact with Harry Potter characters as well as take part in magical classes like Potions, Defence Against the Dark Arts and more.

No specific release date has been announced for both the games except that they will come in 2018 on iOS and Android.
