Pakistan’s first ever Digital Lab has been launched in Karachi by United Bank Limited in collaboration with IBM. The new digital lab will serve as an environment for digital companies to develop engaging digital customer experiences.
The lab will be utilized by UBL’s own teams as well as their partner start-ups, Fintech developers and ecosystem and academia partners.
The lab was inaugurated in Karachi yesterday by the chairman of UBL & Bestway Group UK. The aim is to provide digital companies space where they can boost the already rising Fintech revolution of Pakistan.
Consumers in Pakistan are already adapting to financial applications and day by day people are moving to digital currency and transactions.
The Digital Lab is based on the IBM Thinking Framework which has a unique approach to applying business creatives at the scale and speed that many modern enterprises require.
With new digital lab in place, the local consumer can expect more and better digital solutions as far as finance is concerned.
The rise of digital applications such as Keenu Wallet, Sim Sim wallet, Telenor Easy Pay, and Jazz Cash are just a few examples of how quickly Pakistan is adapting to this new medium.
