Pakistani startup beat 16 other countries to become No.1 in Asia Pacific at APICTA Awards

Pakistani startup from Lahore, Cricingif which has recently become known for providing live ball-to-ball visual updates for cricket has just earned golf for Pakistan. It has been judged the No.1 startup in Asia Pacific region for 2017 at the APICTA awards which were held in Dhaka, Bangladesh from 7th of December to 10th December.

The announcement was made by Jehan Ara, the President of P@sha on her Twitter account congratulating Qasim Zafar, the founder of the startup who was also present at the awards ceremony.

Cricingif is a relatively new startup that is providing cricket updates in a unique manner. Users can replay each ball of the cricket match they are watching through gif images.

The platform also provides live chat feature on each ball where users can comment on each and every ball of an ongoing match.

The Asia Pacific ICT Alliance Awards (APICTA Awards) are held every year. The awards program is organized by APICTA and aims to increase the awareness of ICT in communities by bridging the digital divide.

APICTA has seventeen members including Australia, Bangladesh, Brunei Darussalam, China, Chinese Taipei, Indonasia, Hong Kong, Macao, Japan, Myanmar, Singapore, Malaysia, Sri Lanka, Pakistan, Vietnam, Thailand and Nepal.

Every year the awards program is held in different member country and the awards are won through a bidding process.
