Here’s how Murree and Nathyagali look like after season’s first snowfall

Rain and snowfall have enveloped most of the northern regions of Pakistan including Punjab, Kashmir, KP, and Gilgit-Baltistan from yesterday. Some parts of Sindh and Balochistan have also received winter rains triggering an unusually cold weather across these regions.

This season’s first major rainfall and snowfall has also hit popular tourist destinations Nathyagali and Murre as the destinations have received their first snowfall this season.

Hundreds of Pakistanis have already reached Murree and Nathyagali to enjoy the first snowfall of this winter season, which has also arrived a tad bit earlier than usual.

According to the metrological department of Pakistan, the rainfall and snowfall in parts of northern Pakistan are expected to continue for a couple of more days.

Most of the country will experience cold weather throughout this week. So if you have been planning to see the season’s first snowfall firsthand, now would be the perfect time to visit Murree or Nathyagali and surrounding areas.

But while you are out on the road, make sure you drive safely. The authorities have released the following statement asking citizens to observe caution while in Northern areas.

Intermittent Rain/Snowfall may trigger landslides in the vulnerable areas of Murree & Galiyat .

Due to expected heavy snowfall in Murree and Galiyat areas, public is advised to follow Murree Weather instructions on road conditions.

All concerned authorities are advised to remain ALERT during the coming week.
