Extremely dense fog returns to Lahore and this how the city looked like today

Every year during winter the most of Punjab engulfs in a strange dense fog that causes near zero visibility for commuters on the road.

Lahore is on the top when it comes to zero visibility fog. The biggest problem is that this fog stays throughout the day only improving the visibility during afternoon hours and then returning in the evening and getting thicker and thicker by the morning.

A thick blanket of fog entered Punjab last night which has covered all of Lahore making it hard for people to commute, especially during the morning.

Situation of Islamabad to Lahore Motorway

This is the first extremely dense fog of the season for Lahore and has even caused the authorities to shut down M2 motorway, especially from Pindi Bhatiyan to Lahore patch.

Pakistan Meteorological Department has suggested that the dense fog is here to stay for a couple of days but for the rest of the week, the whole of Punjab will mainly experience cold and dry weather.

So those of you who are planning to commute between Islamabad and Lahore, be sure to check up with the Motorway police by dialing 130.
