Cheese tea is now a thing and it is taking over the world

If you thought crazy beverage trends ended with rainbow lattes, you are in for a big surprise. The latest beverage trend has hit the world and it has something to do with cheese.

Say hi to cheese tea – an iced beverage that is topped with frothy whipped cheese. Although the idea may seem crazy as it sounds like, scores of people are already lining up to get their hands on this beverage.

The iced cheese tea was incepted in Taiwan and more recently has made its way to the UK and US. Now it is quickly spreading to other parts of the world.

The Taiwanese bubble tea chain ‘Happy lemon’ which already exists in western countries have started selling this new kind of tea and people can choose from four different flavors.

It all began with a powdered form of cheese sprinkled over teas until someone came up with the idea to create a smooth, flavored topping on top of their teas with fresh cream cheese.

It is made just like your favorite cappuccino or latte. The baristas begin by beating cream cheese with a base of evaporated milk until the mixture starts to froth. They then add it on top of the tea and recommend people drink immediately without using straws.

The rate at which the trend is catching on, it wouldn’t be a surprise if it makes it to Pakistan very soon.
