Is Netflix, the makers of ‘Narcos’ producing a Pakistani series?

The news was revealed by actor Zahid Ahmed during an interview with BBC

Netflix, the world’s most popular private streaming service launched its operations in Pakistan recently. For Rs. 800, Pakistanis can enjoy watching tons of Western series, Bollywood, Hollywood and Lollywood movies alongside select Pakistani drama serials.

However, Netflix had very little to attract the majority of Pakistani audience who enjoy watching television dramas, but that is about to change.

Zahid Ahmed, a popular Pakistani television actor spilled the beans today that Netflix is set to produce first ever original Pakistani drama series on the platform in hopes to attract Pakistani audience.

Zahid Ahmed who is currently in London shooting for his drama serial ‘Daldal’ was recently caught by BBC Asian Network for a small interview. During the interview, Zahid Ahmed revealed that he is in talks with a group that is producing the first Pakistani Netflix original drama series.

He didn’t reveal anything except for the fact that he was approached to play a lead role in the series.

They have produced seasons like Stranger Things, Narcos, House of Cards, Legion, Marvel Daredevil and more.
