Haseeb Piracha tested China’s third generation fighter jet, the J-11BS

Air Vice Marshal Haseeb Piracha has become the first high-ranking Pakistan Air Force official to test run China’s new fighter jet, the J-11BS.

The Air Vice Marshal is in China these days for the ‘Shaeen VI’ joint military training exercises in the Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region. This exercise includes jets like the Chinese fighters JH-7, J-11 and KJ-200 AWACS aircraft. Pakistan’s JF-17 thunder fighter is also part of the exercise along with early warning aircraft.

For the test run of J-11BS fighter jet, Haseeb Piracha was accompanied by Vice Cheif of staff for the People’s Liberation Army, Xin Xin.

Haseeb’s jet performed acrobatic maneuvers during the test flight. After finishing the test run, he praised the capabilities of China’s new jet and said that this was all he could bear and believed that his accompanied officer Xin Xin would bear much more.

The joint training exercises between the Pakistani military and People’s Liberation Army concluded on the 27th of September. This exercise was part of the joint drills the two nations launched back in March 2011.
