An era of a smashing cricketing career came to an end when Shahid Afridi announced his retirement from international cricket during the first quarter of 2017. Fans and current and former cricketers praised Afridi for his efforts for Pakistan. There is no denying that ‘Boom Boom’ Afridi is one of the biggest names in cricketing history.
Apart from being a major part of Pakistan Super League, Shahid Afridi has also been dedicating a lot of his post retirement time to his family by spending holidays with them in the UK. He was recently seen wearing a combat suit playing paintball with his family and riding a bicycle with one of his daughters.
Shahid Khan Afridi Foundation
For Shahid Afridi, post retirement time hasn’t only been just spending time with the family, the cricketing celebrity actively works through his foundation to help people in need.
The foundation recently fed over 300 people in a food drive in the USA. It also provides weekly lunch for laborers in Dubai. During PSL season 2, Shahid Afridi was actively visiting the laborers himself to join them for lunch.
The foundation also actively works with Pakistani Army Jawans to feed the less privileged and give their children toys and clothes.
