The hugely successful and popular Pakistan Super League ended its second season at the beginning of this year with a bang. Ever since the second season ended, there has been speculation that a sixth franchise would be established to become a part of the season 3 of PSL.
Now the wait has finally over because PSL has just finalized and announced that the 6th team to become part of the tournament is Multan. The franchise has been bought by the Schon group who has agreed to pay the price of $5.2 million per year for the rights to the franchise. The official announcement was made by PSL’s Twitter account today.
With the increase in teams, the PSL will no doubt will become more entertaining for the fans. The number of matches will also consequently increase in the next season.
The chairman of PSL, Mr. Najam Sethi has also announced that at least 4 matches will be played in Pakistan in Karachi and Lahore respectively. In season 2, the final match was played in Lahore which was a huge success.
