Not too long ago, Mr. Abdul Basit from Pakistan was recognized as the fastest person to identify all the elements in the periodic table. Now he is back with another world record. This time he is being recognized by the Guinness Book of World Records as the fastest texter in the world.
Abdul Basit currently lives in Dubai and holds a degree in B.A from Bahauddin Zakaria University, Multan. He also holds an MBA degree from IBA, Karachi and is currently married with three kids. He is making a living in Dubai as a memory trainer at a private institute.
In December 2016, Abdul Basit set his first record by identifying all the elements of the periodic table in just 3 minutes and 9.29 seconds. When he broke this record, he promised that he will attempt to set a new record in a different field every six months, and seems like he is a man of his words.
Abdul Basit has just set a new record in fastest texting using the Swype technology on a smartphone.
He managed to type 26 words in just 17.5 seconds which is now being recognized by Guinness World Records as the fastest attempted text on a mobile phone.
Abdul Basit wants to break records to inspire his students. He is determined to come back again to break another record. Next time he will be attempting to memorize the most decimal places of Euler’s number, a very important irrational number in mathematics.
