Shahid Afridi who recently announced his retirement from International Cricket is far from retiring from TV screens. The iconic cricketer has been taken onboard by ARY Family to be a part of the Shaan-E-Ramazan transmission throughout the month of Ramazan.
Shahid Afridi is being brought in to fill the space left by late Junaid Jamshed. He left us on the 7th December 2016. Junaid Jamshed was an integral part of the Ramazan transmission on ARY Digital. It may be really hard to fill in the shoes he left us with.
The transmission will be co-hosted by Waseem Badami. It will have plenty to offer viewers as they wait for Iftari throughout Ramazan as they do every year.
Shahid Afridi also recently became a part of Karachi Kings, one of the teams from the Pakistan Super League after taking his leave from current champions Peshawar Zalmi. Since the team is closely related to ARY, this comes as no surprise that Shahid Afridi agreed to join the Ramazan transmission.
Although it would be really hard for him to fill in JJ’s shoes, he still is the only person who can carry his legacy in a way that is fit for our television screens.
