Pakistan’s renowned singer Hadiqa Kiani is returning with a brand new album ‘WAJD – Volum 1’. This was announced by Hadiqa recently on her official Twitter account. The album is being produced by Hadiqa’s brother Irfan Kiani. He has collaborated with Hadiqa Kiani on many different occasions. For WAJD, he will also be mastering and mixing the album.
WAJD – Volum 1 will be very different from Hadiqa’s previous albums. It will bring 8 tracks that are recorded in a live studio format. This means that there will be no digital, mechanical or any other insertions in the music or vocals.

Hadiqa will be accompanied by different musicians mastering different instruments. With no digital insertions, listeners will enjoy a very ‘RAW’ form of music that can only be heard live.Album WAJD- Volume 1 will have tracks highlighting six regional languages including Balochi, Pashto, Urdu, Saraiki, Punjabi, and Sindhi.
And for the first time ever, Hadiqa will also play the Balochi Damboor during the recording of the album. She will also appear in one of the tracks as a guitarist.
The first chapter of the album, which will be a video shot in natural daylight, will be released in the upcoming weeks. The audio tracks will follow shortly after the release of the first video.
Hadiqa Kiani gained recognition in Pakistan during the 90s when she did hits like Buhay Barian, Manne di Mauj and much more. She has received numerous national and international awards and has performed in some of the most prestigious venues in the world including The Kennedy Center and Royal Albert Hall. She has also received the highest Pakistani Civilian Award for her contributions to the music industry of Pakistan.
