Apple announced a handful of minor updates to the iPhone and iPad through a press release early morning.
According to the press release, Apple is launching a brand new red model for its current flagship phones iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus.
As the name applies, the new iPhone has a brand new Red matte finish which is blended well with the antenna silver lines. On the back, the usual iPhone logo retains its silver color.
It is a striking move by the company because it is the first time Apple has released such a contrastingly different color from the rest of colors it usually releases with the iPhone.
Apple has partnered with RED, a global funds organization to fight HIV/AIDS in the world. Every sold iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus will allow Apple to donate to the fund.
Apple hasn’t revealed how much they donate to the fund when a single iPhone is sold, but they did reveal that they have already donated $130 million via their Product Red initiative.
Apart from the new iPhone 7 and 7 Plus model, Apple has also announced minor updates for the iPhone SE. The iPhone SE will now be available in capacities 32 GB and 128GB instead of 16GB and 64GB.
The phone will launch on March 24th with a price tag of $749 (approximately RS. 78,517).
