After taking his Pakistan Super League team Peshawar Zalmi to the top, Shahid Afridi is spending time in Dubai by putting smiles on people’s faces.
He recently spent time with laborers in Dubai by having lunch with them as part of work for his charity Shahid Afridi Foundation. Last week he announced his retirement from International cricket to focus on his charity. He will still be playing for Peshawar Zali in PSL.
The former captain and all-rounder visited a construction site to enjoy lunch with workers most of whom also his fans.
Afridi works through his charity organization Shahid Afridi Foundation (SAF) to help people in need around the world.
He recently signed a treaty with United Arab Emirates authorities to help the release of Pakistan prisoners.
With the treaty, about 30 Pakistani prisoners who were detained for various small crimes in Dubai were sent back to Pakistan to start new lives.

On occasion, Afridi also thanked Dubai police for their generous support. His charity work is praised by many including the world’s richest man and founder of Microsoft, Bill Gates.
SAF is a non-profit organization that Afridi founded in March 2014. It now provides education, health care and sports facilities to Pakistani’s in and outside the country.
