Shahid Afridi Helped In Release Of Pakistani Prisoners In Dubai

Pakistani cricket icon Shahid Afridi helped in rescuing Pakistani prisoners that were held in Dubai.

Afridi, who is also the founder of ‘Shahid Afridi Foundation’ played a vital role in releasing the prisoners from their imprisonment.

He announced the initiative through a Facebook post. In his post, he thanked the Dubai Police for their support and generosity for facilitating the release of the held prisoners.

With his efforts, the released prisoners will now return to their families in Pakistan. Afridi hopes that they will start their lives afresh with new goals in mind.

This isn’t the first time Shahid Afridi has been involved in philanthropic activities. His foundation ‘Shahid Afridi Foundation’ has bee actively working by providing clean drinking water in villages and remote areas, providing hospitals and promoting education in US, UAE, UK and Pakistan.

Shahid Afridi is also organizing a small cricket tournament in Dubai before the Pakistani Super League officially starts.

The tournament, ‘Zalmi World Cup’ will take place on January 28 with an aim to promote the image of Pakistan.
