Pakistani’s Contribution To A Film Has Been Nominated For The Oscars

A live action short film has been nominated at the Oscars 2017. This short film has been filmed by American Pakistani Cinematographer Nausheen Dadabhoy.

Nausheen is a Karachi and Los Angeles-based cinematographer. This isn’t her first short film. She has done a number of films that include Pakistani films like ‘A Tale of Pakistani Women’ and ‘The Ground Beneath Their Feet’.

She is currently studying at the American Film Institute. Her latest film ‘La Femme et Le TVG’ has caught the eyes of critics and has been nominated for the short film category for this year’s Oscars.

Upon hearing, Nausheen expressed deep excitement for making it to the nominations of Oscars.

Her film is a short tale of a lonely woman and a TVG train driver. It features music by Diego Baldenweg and actors such as Julie Dray and Jane Birkin.

Oscars 2017 will be held on 26th of February 2017 at the Dolby Theatre, Highland Center, Los Angeles.
