Star Wars: Rogue One (December 16)
Starring: Felicity Jones, Mads Mikkelsen, Alan Tudyk
Fans of Star Wars will definitely love this. This is the first standalone movie in the Star Wars Franchise. It is set after Star Wars: Episode III – Revenge of the sith and before the original Star Wars. The movie will focus around Jyn Erso, a recruit of the rebels who steal the design of the Death Staw, a new weapon that the Galactic Empire wishes to build.
Passengers (December 21)
Starring: Jennifer Lawrence, Chris Pratt, Michael Sheen
A spacecraft traveling to a distant colony planet and transporting thousands of people has a malfunction in its sleep chambers. As a result, two passengers are awakened 90 years early.
Assassin’s Creed (December 21)
Starring: Michael Fassbender, Marion Cotillard, Jeremy Irons
Gamers! You are about to get a treat. The Assassin’s Creed franchise is getting its first-ever theatrical adaptation and it is happening this month. The movie is set in the same world the game is based on but the story and nearly all characters are original.
Micheal Fassbender plays Callum Lynch who is a criminal and is set to be executed by Abstergo Industries. He will be rescued by the Assassin’s Creed order and will be forced to join the Animus Project which will take him to the past.
Fences (December 23)
Starring: Denzel Washington, Viola Davis, Mykelti Williamson
If you fancy a little Denzel Washington, you’ll be happy to watch Fences. It tells the story of a former baseball star who now works as a garbage collector. This family drama movie will surely leave you in tears with real struggles.
