Starbucks Coffees, the world’s most popular coffeehouse is about to launch its operations in Pakistan. Delivering all kinds of unique and exotic coffee blends, Starbucks needs very little introduction.
For those of you who haven’t tried Starbucks yet (because you never got the chance to step out of Pakistan), you will soon get your wish fulfilled. According to inside sources, Starbucks is preparing to launch its first franchise in Pakistan. It will open its flagship store in either Islamabad or Karachi.
Starbucks is so popular that it has around 23,768 shops around the world. Most of its shops are located in the United States with others spreading across China, Canada, Japan and South Korea.
Starbucks Will Bring Its Signature Blends
For those of you who have had the pleasure of trying out Starbucks abroad, you’ll be happy to know that it is bringing its signature ‘Ready Brew’ fresh roasted coffee bean blends to Pakistan. Its famous Salted Caramel Mocha, Pumpkin Spice Latte and Chile Mocha will be included in the line up.
Along with all their famous coffee blends, Starbucks will also bring a host of snacks and desserts.
Starbucks may face intense competition
Starbucks sure has taken its time to come to Pakistan. During their absence from Pakistan, several other world famous coffeehouses have made Pakistan their home.
We’r talking about Gloria Jeans Coffees, Coffee Planet and Second Cup. All of these popular brands are already very well established in Pakistan. They have even introduced local blends and snacks to cater the Pakistani market.
In order to compete with these brands, Starbucks may have to work really hard. And its not just the pricing structures they have to match, but also the menu lineup needs to be according to the demands of the public.
Additionally, due to its popularity, several third party cafes have used the Starbucks name to sell coffee. For example, there are a couple of cafes in Lahore that advertise selling Starbucks coffee. They may be selling raw coffee acquired from Starbucks somehow, but they can never match the taste and consistency of coffee produced by the brand itself.
