The draft for Pakistan Super League 2017 happened last night in Dubai and the teams for the tournament has been finalized.
The biggest highlights of the event was Shahid Afridi announcing his step down from captaincy of Peshawar Zalmi. The team will be led by Darren Sammy who also led West Indies to victory in the last World T20 tournament.

Afridi also announced that Younas Khan, also part of Peshawer Zalmi, will now be the batting consultant of the team.
This year the teams pretty much remain the same. PSL chairman had hoped that players would shuffle from team to team this year, but it didn’t go according to his thoughts.
PSL Final will take place in Lahore
Another big announcement made last night was the PSL final taking place in Lahore. While announcing, PSL chairman, Najam Sethi said that the committee included a special clause in the contracts of international players about playing the final in Lahore.
PSL 2017 is set to start in the first quarter of 2017. It will be a bigger edition than the debut of the tournament.
