Atif Aslam was working on the title track of Nabeel Qureshi’s much awaited Pakistani film ‘Actor in Law’. The singer had shown interest in doing a track for the movie after Asrar had recorded a song for the movie.
The Track Is A Romantic Ballad
Shani Arshad, who is producing the music for the film, had the following words to say about Atif Aslam’s track for the movie:
The song (Dil Yeh Dancer Hogaya) is basically a romantic ballad that will be picturised on the lead actors Fahad Mustafa and Mehwish Hayat.”
Before the release of the song, the name and nature of the song wasn’t discussed. Shani had only left clues saying:
“All in due time. We have chosen quite off-beat and interesting names for the songs so we want to keep it a surprise.
The Song Is A First Time Collaboration Between Shani And Aslam
Yeh Dil Dancer Hogaya is the first ever collaboration between Shani Arshad and Atif Aslam in Pakistan. Shani had nothing but great words to share on the experience he had with Atif:
It is a privilege as Atif is very selective about singing for Pakistani films and he’s only sang for Bol and Ho Mann Jahaan.
Here is the complete song released yesterday.
Actor In Law Will Release On Eid Ul Azha
Actor in Law is being produced by Fizza Ali Meerza and Directed by Nabeel Qureshi. It is set to be released on Eid-ul-Adha.
The movie features Fahad Mustafa as Shan Mirza in the leading role. He plays a young man who wants to become an actor, but his parents, especially his father – played by Om Puri- has different plans for him (isn’t that obvious?).
shows a lot of arguments between Fahad And Om before it moves on to showing what Fahad really becomes. He indeed takes on acting but not in front of the camera, but instead goes on to become a fake Lawyer.
You can then see Fahad coming up with amazing and convincing stories to win cases until a popular journalist Muddasir Sultan (played by Alyy Khan) comes into play.
In between you can also see a young female journalist who is played by Mehwish Hayat and is the love interest of Fahad.
As a Pakistani, you will see tons of references to current affairs in the country. For example, you may also catch a glimpse of Ayyan Ali.
There are tons of other references in the trailer which can be seen below:
