At least 15 dead and 125 people were injured during the storm that hit the twin cities on Wednesday night. The storm was so powerful that it tore down trees, billboards and electricity pylons. Damages to under construction areas were also reported. In several neighbourhoods, roofs of houses were also blown away.
At around 8-9 pm, gusty winds started blowing in Islamabad and Pindi with a speed of 148KM/H and 120KM/H in both the cities. Several domestic flights were either suspended, diverted or even canceled at the Benazir Bhutto International Airport.
