Islamic Relief, Britain’s largest muslim charity is launching a new ad campaign which will see the iconic double decker buses of U.K carrying ‘Subhan Allah’ adverts throughout the month of Ramazan.
‘Subhan Allah’ means ‘Glory Be To God’ in Arabic. The ads will attempt to portray Islam and international aid in a positive light.
These adverts will be displayed on buses in London, Manchester, Bradford and Birmingham. The first set of adverts will go live later this month. The charity leaders are hoping generous donations are made through the campaign during the month of Ramazan which is expected to begin June 6-8.
Organizers of the campaign also hope that it will help young muslims to understand and focus on humanitarian work.
Imran Madden, the director of Islamic Relief in the UK believes that this campaign will help change the negative climate surrounding around international aid when it comes to muslim communities in the country.
According to a recent research, international aid has helped reduce the number of people living below the poverty line to half during the last 15 years. British muslims are also found to be extremely generous when it comes to aid. They have donated as much as £100 to charity in Ramazan.
