Islamabad’s Fatima Jinnah Park To Become The First Park In Pakistan Powered Exclusively By Solar Energy

Pakistan is focusing a lot on renewable energy. Recently, it was announced that the Pakistani Parliament will be completely run by Solar Energy. Now, another popular place in Islamabad is going to be powered exclusively by Solar energy.

Fatima Jinnah Park, which also goes by the name F-9 park and Capital Park is the next area that will be powered by Solar energy. The project is being sponsored by China.


More Details Of The Project

China is about to invest approximately 54 carore Rupees into making Fatima Jinnah Park fully sustainable by Solar energy.

The project will produce around 0.875 MW of energy. This will ensure that the entire park is powered 24/7 without any interruption.


This project is expected to power all the existing street lights within the park and as well as the sprinkler system installed by the authorities. 15 tubewells within the park will also be powered by the project.


The project is expected to start in the first half of 2016 and will be completed within a time frame of 14 months.
